Ingredients

  • 4 small bread boules or large crusty rolls
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast shredded or chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups Alfredo sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the bread bowls: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the tops off the bread boules and hollow out the inside, leaving about 1/2-inch thick walls to form a bowl. Set aside.
  • Make garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic. Brush the insides and edges of the hollowed bread bowls with the garlic butter. Place the bowls on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the bread bowls: Bake the garlic-brushed bread bowls for about 8–10 minutes, until lightly crispy and golden. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • Prepare the filling: In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir and cook until the cheese melts and the mixture is hot and creamy.
  • Fill the bowls: Spoon the hot chicken Alfredo mixture evenly into each toasted bread bowl.
  • Top and bake again: Sprinkle a little extra mozzarella or Parmesan on top if desired. Return the filled bowls to the oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes, or until the tops are bubbly and slightly golden.
  • Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • If you can't find small bread boules, large crusty rolls or even mini sourdough rounds work great.
  • For homemade Alfredo sauce, a simple blend of butter, heavy cream, garlic, and Parmesan makes it extra special.
  • You can swap the chicken for cooked shrimp, turkey, or even roasted vegetables for a different twist.
  • To make it extra garlicky, add a pinch of garlic powder to the Alfredo filling as well.
